Are you looking for a role where you can really make a difference in peoples lives? 

As a Functional Skills Tutor you will be supporting and developing students maths and English. Many of the students will have special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities. You will travel regionally to the students workplaces and support them whilst they complete their apprenticeship. 

It is not necessary to have experience in this role but having confidence in teaching both subjects is.

Essential Criteria Required:

  • Functional Skills L2 in maths, English & ICT (or equivalent)
  • Experience of working with people with additional learning needs
  • Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt
  • Be innovative and have the ability to think on your feet
  • Have good judgement and decision making skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal, motivational and influencing skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and locations - covering Suffolk, Norfolk & Essex
  • Driving license and use of own car - mileage is paid

Desirable Criteria:

  • Degree or equivalent in either maths or English
  • Cert Ed

In return we offer:

  • £25,500 - £27,000 depending on experience
