The Role: Skills Tutor – Health and Social Care (Adult Care)

Location: Northamptonshire and surrounding locations

Are you an experienced Tutor Assessor or perhaps you are a Care Manager looking for a career change?

The Role:

  • To deliver Health and Social Care Level 2, 3 and 5 Apprenticeship qualifications (depending on occupational competency)
  • Delivering Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2
  • Planning and managing your own diary, travelling out to employer sites to visit candidates (currently delivery is conducted remotely due to Covid-19 restrictions)
  • Engaging and motivating learners, overcoming barriers to learning
  • Devising Individual Learning Plans and identifying any additional learning needs
  • Meeting delivery targets, ensuring the student journey is timely and of the highest quality


  • Occupational competency in health and social care at a senior level
  • Confident in Maths, English and ICT
  • Assessor Award (CAVA / TAQA / A1) is desirable
  • UK Driving Licence - business cover on insurance will be required
  • Tutor Assessors may be required to complete occasional evening work / visits outside of normal working hours to meet learner and client requirements.

Salary: £25,500 - £29,000 (depending on skills, experience and qualifications)
